Paperback. Good. When J. C. Pollock read newspaper accounts of the thirty-two Siberian Evangelicals who journeyed to the U. S. Embassy in Moscow, hoping to gain religious freedom in America or Israel, but were turned back on a technicality, the story so intrigued him that he arranged a trip to Russia and found himself exploring "The faith of the Russian Evangelicals" in a much wider perspective. He describes Evangelical Christianity in Russia since its beginning about 130 years ago, and gives touching personal accounts of the thousands today who lie by faith against incredible odds. He tells of the ways that persecution & discrimination are applied against them, and yet reports evidence that christian churches in Russia are gaining new members in a new generation despite anti-religious indoctrination in the state schools.
