Paperback. Good. Henry Breeden, from the time of his conversion in 1822 as a youth of seventeen, lived with one consuming passion ---"to be a recruiting officer for Jesus of Nazareth". Throughout the pages he speaks much of the "principles" of soul-winning & revival which he learned from Rev. John Smith for he was an ardent disciple of that saintly minister & close friend of Thomas Collins. The deep current, throughout the book written in diary form is the emphasis on prayer. "I came to a fixed resolve", he writes, "that whatever else I was or was not, & whatever else I did or did not, I would by the grace of God become a man dicidedly given up to prayer."
