Paperback, Includes Many Rare Pictures NEW
BOBBY CLARK IS A NAME SYNONYMOUS WITH SOUTHERN GOSPEL MUSIC! His name is known nationally and internationally. He received THE LIVING LEGEND AWARD at the famous Grand Ole Gospel Reunion in 1994. "Booger Red" and "Mr. Tenor" were names familiar to his audiences and given to him by his peers in the early days of his career. He has made numerous recordings with various groups as well as solo recordings. His rendition of the old gospel song Hide Thou Me is a matchless recording to this day. He was the first tenor of the original CATHEDRAL TRIO that became THE CATHEDRAL QUARTET. He began his singing career at the age of nineteen when he joined THE DEEP SOUTH QUARTET in Atlanta, GA. He thrilled audiences with his lyrical tenor voice while singing with THE OAK RIDGE QUARTET, THE RANGERS QUARTET, THE WEATHER-FORD QUARTET, THE DIXIE ECHOES and with THE MEN OF MUSIC of Austin, Texas in the late 90s. Bobby studied voice at The Cleveland Institute of Music in Cleveland, Ohio with Elenore Steber, leading soprano for over 30 years with The Metropolitan Opera Company in New York. He sang the role of the Emperor of China in Puccini's Opera, Turandot in 1979 with the Orland Opera Company, Orlando, Florida. The world of quartets and Southern Gospel Music has been a staple in households for many years, dating back to the Stamps Baxter days and the singing schools of yesteryear. You will enjoy reading of events regarding the birth of THE CATHEDRAL TRIO and how it evolved to become THE CATHEDRAL QUARTET that thrilled audiences for many years. In reading of those early days when they traveled by car, you will laugh at the jokes they played on each other as they rode the highways to sing the gospel of Jesus Christ to all who came to listen! You will read how various songs came to be recorded and the ingenious ways they recorded some of their music-much of which is still sung by quartets today. You will also be touched to read of their sorrows and victories. You will enjoy photos scattered throughout the book, some never seen by the general public. A collector's item for sure! ANYONE WHO READS BOBBY'S BOOK WILL BE ENTERTAINED AND BLESSED.YOU'RE IN FOR A WONDERFUL, JOYFUL, UPLIFTING RIDE.----Larry Gatlin

90 Duma, William [Mary Garnett] TAKE YOUR GLORY LORD, Life Story of William Duma SALE $54.99
SW, DON'T PAY $1,399.00 2000 Softcover NEW
Paperback. NEW. From a kraal of twenty huts, cradled in the hills of natal, South Africa, emerged a Zulu with a heart questing for the things of God. He entered a Baptist seminary, became the pastor of a black church, and sought the Lord in desperation as the church remained empty. He finally found the Lord, face to face, in an experience that burned deep into his being. TAKE YOUR GLORY LORD is a graphic illustration of the power of God in action ---the dead are raised, the sick healed, the possessed delivered, and those in fear encouraged and strengthened. Duma's prime concern was always that God would have the glory for these miracles, hence his well-used catch phrase --the title of this book.

91 Edwards, Jonathan & Sarah (Dodds, Elisabeth) MARRIAGE TO A DIFFICULT MAN
Westminister Press, 1971, 224 pgs., HB, DJ, good condition Hard Cover; Fair Fair 5 3/4 x 8
This book is a tempting blend of family guidance book, sociological study, psychologically -and devotionally -oriented American historical biography -as easy to read for relaxation as for information. In addition to showing what Sarah & Jonathan we re both really like, Mrs. Dodds asks, "What did they do to help their children turn out so well?" For the famous Colonial American theologian & his wife produced, by their remarkable marriage, a line of descendants who probably contributed more con structive leadership to American society than any other family of their century. What they did, as Mrs Dodd tells it, could well be a pattern for modern parents.could help them administer a potent but potable blend of permissiveness & discipline that would result in just the kind of mature handling of problems every parent hopes his children will have.
