Allegheny Pub.; 272 Pgs.;, 1991 1991 Paperback Good
Paperback. Good. This remarkable volume tells the interesting story of the dealings of God, man, and the devil with the author from his boyhood until the present. The title of the book is well chosen, for the "ups & downs" of this faithful itinerant preacher have been numerous, and as varied as numerous. His early struggles to secure an education, in the face of unfavorable circumstances, made him resourceful and taught him the value of time & money, and he deserves commendation for the success he has attained by indomitable purpose, diligent study and hard work.

49 St. John, Patricia PATRICIA ST. JOHN TELLS HER OWN STORY
OPTS; 272 Pgs., PICTURES 2005 Paperback Like New
PICTURES. Patricia St. John was one of those very rare people whose writings, life & being all make the same impact. Not only was she what one might call a poet of forgiveness, someone in the great tradition of St. Luke & of all those whose stories are interwoven with the one great story of Christ Himself, as in St. Luke's Gospel the great parables of Jesus are. She was also as this lovely autobiography clearly demonstrates, what you could call a redemptive person.

51 Stern, Rabbi Sam VICTORY OF LIGHT
B B B; 132 Pgs. 1998 1998 0961946903 / 9780961946906 Soft cover As New
Paperback. Like New. This book was written to record the experiences of an orthodox Jew in Europe before, during & after World War II. It is a testimony that the Holocaust did in fact exist in all its barberic manifestations. Facts recorded here about actual occurrances in Poland, Russia & Germany during the war years are documented in history. The story relates the life of Orthodox Jews in a Poland that does not exist for them anymore, a Poland in which they co-existed with a people whose priests taught them that the Jews killed Christ. Under the leadership of Pope John XXIII, the Catholic Church, in meetings of their Vatican Council II, negated this teaching; but their change in theology came too late to save those who perished, and it also failed to wipe out centuries of anti-Semitic feelings which some Gentiles still hold today. The writer's purpose was not to accuse all Poles of that time, because we know that some courageous Polish citizens hid & protected some of their Jewish neighbors; Further, the Polish people today especially the young Polish Americans have no part in what happened.

55 Tsai, Christiana QUEEN OF THE DARK CHAMBER ---The Story of Christiana Tsai
Moody Press; 192 Pgs. 1971 1971 Paperback Like New
Paperback. Like New. The very name Christiana reminds us of the pilgrim in Bunyan's immortal allegory. More than that, the life story of Christiana Tsai depicts the unusual experiences in the pilgrim pathway of a Chinese believer. The facts presented in this autobiography are truly stronger than fiction. How marvelous that in early girlhood, Christiana, though the daughter of a wealthy Confucian official, should meet the Lord and respond to His claim! Her mind and heart were early impressed with the divine declaration "I am the way, the truth, and the life." Not only did Christiana appropriate this truth herself, but she devoted her life to the making known of the one whom she recognized as Savior of the world and the hope of her nation.
